OUR HISTORY
Seeking first His kingdom...
The night before his scheduled flight to California to begin his consulting work, Pastor Oye was at an elderly sister’s house to help her move. He was telling this grandmother that he had take care of her business that afternoon because he was leaving for California the following day and will not be back to Houston for a while.
Suddenly, as he was speaking about his trip, the Holy Spirit asked him, “So, what will you be doing in California”? “I will be making a lot of money. $15,000 per month is a lot of money that will help me in so many ways”, Pastor Oye replied.
The Holy Spirit then asked Pastor Oye, “So, what is the value of this job that you have from California”? Pastor Oye replied, “I will be making $15,000 a month. Even after tithe, it is still going to be a lot of money that will help me in so many ways”.
“So, what is the value is one soul; its it more than $15,000?” “If you win one soul, is it worth more than what you will make in this job in the next 10 years?” Pastor Oye weighed the value of the job he was offered with the value of one human soul and knew there was not even any basis to quantify a human soul in terms of money. A human soul was priceless in the eyes of God and the Holy Spirit was trying to get him to see that .
“One human soul is of a far greater value than $15,000”, he replied to the Holy Spirit. “Then, why don’t you go for souls?”, the Spirit of God asked him. “Lord, but I need this money”, Pastor Oye insisted. “So, I cannot pay you more than $15,000?”
After leaving the old woman’s house that day, Pastor Oye sat in his car thinking about the conversation that just transpired between him and the Spirit of God. Why in his thoughts, the Spirit of God spoke to him again, “You know you have a calling and are doing nothing about it right?”
Answering the call...
“Lord, but you know how I was treated at Winners Chapel where I served faithfully. I love you and want to serve you, but I will need to give myself sometime.
“What time do you need to give yourself? Now is the time! Behold, today is the acceptable time. Today is the day of salvation”.
That night, Pastor Oye knew he was not going to California again. He was in a strait of mind regarding the next steps he needed to take. Still looking for clarity, he told his wife decided to postpone his trip to California.
The Lord's marching order...
That night, Pastor Oye had a vision. In a vision of the night (dream), he saw himself in a big compound in which there were many people. God gave everyone present an assignment and he could literally feel the overwhelming love towards as he looked at him. He was also given his assignment.
In the second scenario in the dream, everyone left to attend to the assignments they were given but Pastor Oye stayed behind roaming in the compound. When the Lord returned and saw him, the look in his face this time was that of displeasure!
Pastor Oye got up that morning and while that vision was still fresh in his mind, a series of people his ministry has impacted started calling to find out when he was going to convene a fellowship to launch his ministry. These were people he had no conversation with whatsoever regarding the messages that he had just received from God.
In response to what was obviously the marching order of God confirmed by those calls, Pastor Oye registered Transformation Ministries, also known as “Transformers Chapel”. The very first service of Transformation Ministries took place in the conference room of Hyatt Hotel on Highway 6 South and I 1-10/Katy Freeway, Houston Texas.
